Aragami 2
Aragami 2 is a third-person stealth-action game developed and published by Lince Works. It was released on September 17, 2021. Genres: Action, Stealth, Indie.
In Aragami 2 you step into the role of one of the last elite warriors of the Aragami, a people cursed by a supernatural affliction known as Shadow Essence. This power slowly corrodes the body and mind, yet it also grants the extraordinary ability to command shadows. As an assassin of the shadow clan, you move through the Rashomon Valley, carrying out missions that keep your village alive while fighting to free fellow Aragami enslaved by invading armies.
The campaign can be played solo or in online co-op with up to three players. Stealth is the core of the experience: you slip between covers, vanish into darkness, and strike with precise stealth kills or non-lethal takedowns. Shadow powers let you leap through darkness, manipulate the environment, and approach targets with fluid agility. Combat remains a deliberate tactical choice rather than the default path—high-risk, skill-based encounters that reward mastery but punish recklessness.
Progression centers on building your own shadow assassin. You craft weapons and armor, then unlock and upgrade a wide range of abilities and shadow powers across multiple skill trees. Every upgrade shapes how you approach missions, whether you favor pure stealth, opportunistic strikes, or more direct confrontation.
The story unfolds across the valley as you protect your people, confront the curse that defines the Aragami, and uncover how these warriors became legend. The stylized visuals draw on Japanese-inspired aesthetics, with moonlit villages, cherry blossoms, and supernatural shadow effects framing the action.
